Practicing at Home

As soon as our Governor’s  declaration of stay at home, I started looking for ways to keep fit and not let my limited golf skills completely disappear. BirdieBallsGolf.com sells a putting green mat. I watched several YouTube reviews of different putting mats. I was given one of those putting retriever by a good friend. It work perfectly. In researching this purchase, I liked the feature that the putting mat has grain so when you put from one end you have one surface speed or resistance and it’s different going to the other end. The mat let me place lumps in different places to change the brake of the hole. I could to do this without a putting mat. I can make the mat up hill or down hill too. The real test is how the practice is impacting my putting on the greens at the golf course. Does it keep me from 3 putting? Easy answer—No! But, I know it’s not the putter. I have sunk a few putts that I would have lagged up. So, I have seen some improvement.
