January 2023 Golf

This video is of Billy Storms on the tee box. I was laughing so hard I missed videoing the swing and he hit a provisional shot and I missed it too. We had fun Sunday afternoon, January 8, 2023 at LandOLakes GC near Whiteville, NC.

Hole 15 at LOL, January 2023, hit into the trees on the left of the gold tees and hit a tree and took a bounce into the grass near the cart path. Ugh!

Sunday, January 8, 2023, inroad with Dr. LR Odham and a five-some. LR, Wilber Simmons, James Hammond, Billy Storms, and myself (John Blake). We played 18 holes, not handicap strokes. $5 bet and the green fees and cart cost $17 each for members. They green fees and cart went up for the first time in the past 6 years from $15 to $17. The course will need to buy new carts to replace the old ones soon. Below are some photos from Hole number 18. I hit two balls in the water. So I just made photos. The video clip is from hole 17. Billy Storms was tired too. I was laughing so hard l missed most of both his swings. Had fun. That’s what it’s all about.

Me on 18th hole, picked up, made it to the car. 55° F but no wind. Overcast day. Hard to find balls. Lost a couple in the fairway and hit three in the water hazards. Need to work on my swing.

My bag on the 18th hole. Hit two off the tee into the water. Took a double bogey. Lost a bunch of ball, hit a few good drives today, but never knew where my wedges would end up and putted ligh I had never played before. Winter golf… still had fun.
